The Year of the New Wine

The Lord has shown me that there will be a new wine given out to the church in 2008.

Even though this wine is new to the earth and has never before been tasted, it has actually been in the making for many years. If you understand the wine making process then you know that grapes are crushed and pressed down in order to excrete the juice that is needed to make the wine. Without the proper crushing and pressing there could be no wine. Many of us have endured hardships, poverty, tests, and disappointments over the past ten years. It has been difficult for many to get close to the Holy Spirit as it seems at times that God has all but abandoned the church. Even the world looks at the church and laughs as there are many Christians walking openly in sin, bondage, sickness and poverty. I know myself that I have spent many days asking God why we are not seeing the miracles, signs and wonders and deliverance that we need as a people. The Lord reminded me that even the Jews went through a period of bondage as slaves to the Egyptians due to sin. In the end God always keeps His word and will deliver His people after they have repented. Remember that God delivered the Jews from Egypt but also gave them the wealth of the land. There was so much to take with them that they could not even carry it all.

Hardships and Slavery

First, God had to allow hardships and slavery in order for them to repent and turn back to Him and then when they did God came through. This past ten years has been not only a period of breaking in the church but an opportunity for repentance. Many have hardened their hearts towards God, but there are some that have allowed themselves to become new broken vessels that God can change and use in these last days.

After the crushing and pressing of the grapes the wine is put into temporary vessels to undergo its first fermentation period. After the wine has aged for a short period it is moved to its permanent wine vessel and distributed for consumption. For the finer wines the fermentation period will take much longer to happen over a number of years. Most of the church has been sitting in the final fermentation stage for many years. It is not that the Lord has forsaken His people but instead He has been training many of us through our hardships and pain. We have been a work being refined through the final fermentation process. It has taken a number of years for us to become purified and usable in the kingdom’s work. In this season it will be those that preserved to the end that will receive and impart the new wine. For in this new wine there is a new level of anointing and power in the Holy Spirit to raise the dead, heal the sick, win the lost, set the captive free and deliver those in bondage. We are in the final days and final hours as the Holy Spirit is raising up people filled with the new wine so that they may be poured out into the lives of others. No longer will the Pastor be the only minister of the gospel in the local church. The Lord is raising up a body ministry to impart the word of God to the unsaved.

New Wine is being Released to the Nations

While this new wine is being released to the nations there will be many that we thought were Christians that will no longer serve Him. It is those that follow traditions and the spirit of religion that will miss out on what the Holy Spirit is doing. For these people were never of God in the first place. In this final hour miracles, signs and wonders will be a part of every day life. The Holy Spirit showed me that many people do not come to God or the church because they don’t see God moving like He once did on the earth. The world is looking for a God of today and not just the past. Every generation must seek and experience God themselves and cannot live by the past memories and experiences passed down from the previous generation.

It is time for God’s people to rise up and take their place in this final work. The new wine is coming and God will use ordinary people to do the extraordinary in these last days.
