Beware of False Prophets
I have been grieved in my spirit these past few months as I am seeing something that I believe the Lord is showing me about His people. It is a warning as the Lord has told me to sound an alarm in this season and that His return will be very quickly and unexpected.
We live in a time that God is ready to pour out His power on the earth like never before. We are on the verge of an outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit and power that we have never before seen. We will begin to see things happen in healings, deliverance, and miracles that will astonish many. Yet, we look around us and see some of the most hideous sins and crimes against nature that the earth has not seen since the days of Noah. This pollution of sin is not only in the world but in our churches. During a time where many are seeing signs and wonders there is very little talk now of sin, repentance and consecration. This is not surprising as the bible says it will be just like the days of Noah when He returns.
The Lord is preparing His people for this end time move of the miraculous. It will require total surrender, abandonment of self, repentance, holiness, and consecration unto the Lord. While it will be powerful there will be a cost to be paid to those that God will use in this time. Be on guard in this season of the false prophets. You will know these prophets as the ones that have lots of demonstration of power and a large following but no fruit in the form of salvations, holiness and repentance.
The warning the Lord gave me is that His people are chasing after the signs and wonders and prophecies and not chasing after Him. The only reason that the Lord gave us His power was to do His work so that people would be turned back to Him. It all is to point us back to Him. Back to Jesus! So many people are abusing His gifts that it has delayed the outpouring of the power that we will see. Even in the revivals people are often seeking the gifts and not the giver of the gifts. The danger here is that people will become so consumed chasing the signs or the person demonstrating the signs that they will be easily deceived. The healings, signs, and wonders are so that we will be free to serve and worship Him, the giver of the gifts ,not the gift itself or the deliverer of the gift – the person.
It is time to turn back to Jesus. Back to the days were a congregation sits and waits on God while repenting of their sins and setting themselves apart for His service. We need to go back to those days where all people wanted was Jesus and His holiness. We need to go back to the days that we didn’t apologize for God’s word about the need for repentance and how a sinner is lost without laying down their life to the Lord. The early church had much power but they were always pointing people to repentance and back to who died on the cross, Jesus. Even in their persecution and deaths all that mattered is that one soul that was saved. I hear countless stories of the days of old when people sat and waited and God did great works without any of their help. There wasn’t all the hype or chasing after the gifts. The gifts and miracles happened but when they did happen they were accompanied by many salvations and the sinner was often instantly convicted of sins as there were often thousands saved at a single service. When we are in His presence it brings conviction and repentance above anything else. How can we be in His glory and not be changed?
The Lord is looking for a broken, humble servant in these last days that will take no glory for themselves. He is looking for the person that will take no credit for what the Lord is doing and one that will preach the truth of God’s word. He is tired of people who prostitute His power and gifts. There have been too many abuses of the gifts. Because of that many are starting to run away from prophecy and healings. The power and gifts are for one purpose alone, to turn all back to Jesus. Jesus wants a relationship with His people not just an experience.
The Lord revealed to me that in this season many will fall away thinking that He is in a movement when He is not in the wind nor is He in the rain but instead a quiet place. Many will be deceived in this time. Be prayerful and watchful as there will be more false prophets raised up in this last day. You will know my true prophet not by what they say or how many miracles are performed, but by their fruit and disposition says the Lord. You will see that the true prophet will take none of my glory from Me, says the Lord. The true prophet will preach repentance and turning back to God. Their ministry of repentance will be followed by the signs and wonders so that the sinner will see that I am real. The signs are not for the believer but for the unbeliever so that they will see that I am God today, yesterday, and forever.
Great judgment is coming to America. I had a vision of the Washington Monument bowing down before God. I saw the business commerce buildings in Washington DC on fire. Through fire comes purification and cleansing as the Lord will deal with our nation in this time. Repentance is coming back to America. We can no longer ignore how hideous and corrupt the sins of our nation have become. It is the church that God wants to use to bring people back to Him. Signs and wonders will come but only to demonstrate His love for the world so that they will repent before it is too late. Many of us will have blood on our hands if we do not obey God and return back to Him and do His will in these last days. It is time to lay down our lives, agendas, and even what we think our ministries are to the Lord. We are in His hands. Get ready for a move of God that even those you thought would not be saved will be repenting and turning to Him. When His power moves it will be evident through salvations!
