What We Believe:Foundational Church Beliefs
•The Holy Spirit is the one that saves, heals, and delivers through the hands of men and is the most critical component of any church. Without the workings of the Holy Spirit it would be a dead work.
•The fivefold ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors) are the recognized offices in the bible. Their role is to impart to the body of Christ for them (the body) to do the work of the ministry. It should be a BODY ministry where the leadership allows people to move in their gifts and callings. Pastors and the remaining five fold ministry should not operate in the spirit of control, pride, or selfishness.
•The gifts of the spirit are relevant for today including: healing, deliverance, prophecy, dreams, and visions
•We are only saved through grace by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Salvation is not just a prayer, it is a relationship with Jesus that requires us to lay down our lives and follow Him.
•Water Baptism is a requirement if we accept Jesus as our Savior to demonstrate that commitment publically.
•The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is needed by every believer in order to walk in the power that is needed to overcome the flesh and temptations. It is evidenced in a number of ways to include new: boldness, power, tongues, and prophecy.
•Evangelism is part of our church beliefs because we need to fulfill the great commission to take the word of God to the four corners of the earth.
•We believe there are three separate persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) but that all are one.
•We are against legalism and control. God is wanting a church that is organized but not controlling in nature.

Goals:Our Mission Will be Expressed Through the Following (Goals):
•Small groups are the center of the ministry and provide discipleship, love, caring evangelism and personal ministry. In this setting church members will be encouraged to step out and move in their giftings to minister to one another as a body ministry. This will enable the giftings to flow naturally into the main church services.
•To be a center for identifying, training, equipping and releasing leaders for ministry and to send church planting teams to the nations.
•To continue to find avenues to care for the needy in our community in a personal, one on one basis.
•To be clear and meaningful expression of His love and power to the youth in our community.
•To be a resource to pastors and the greater body of Christ, and facilitate unity among the churches.
•To build a permanent facility suitable to accomplish the vision God has set before us.

Style:Philosophy of Ministry
Healing Rain Ministry seeks to be a church without “control” and "religion". The freedom to be who we are in Christ and to move according to the Holy Spirit is an important part of our ministry. Too many churches are focused on growth, control of man, titles, finances, or religion and are not allowing the Holy Spirit to move the way He wills. Healing Rain Ministry is devoted to the Body Ministry where it is the body that truly ministers to the body. In Healing Rain Ministry there is leadership but not the spirit of control. There is a big difference between the two. Pastors are called to care for the sheep not control them. The bible does not say that only the Pastor should do the ministry. It calls the fivefold ministry to equip the saints so that they will do the work of the ministry. There are all kinds of people in the bible who ministered: prophets, teachers, pastors, apostles, evangelists, men and women. God is no respecter of person. He is more concerned that His will is done.

Each person needs to be an active participant; versus a spectator only. To fulfill the vision that God has given our Church, we need each person to be actively involved to fulfill God's unique calling and purpose on each person's life. The body cannot minister effectively unless all are walking in their giftings and callings.

At Healing Rain Ministry it is our desire to facilitate a family atmosphere. It is important to note that we want people to be themselves and to dress comfortably. Religion has taught many that the church is a stiff and boring place. On the contrary, if we are truly walking as a body then the power of the Holy Spirit will bring signs and wonders, and that is far from stiff or boring. God is an awesome God and He wants to do great things, but we have to establish a sense of belonging and unity as a body before that power will come to transform lives. Even in the book of Acts, they came together as a body in total agreement before God poured out His Spirit. We need our family…

Praise and worship is a major catalyst to the move of the Holy Spirit and the giftings and should not be rushed through or avoided. When we worship and praise God He is pleased and He ministers back to us through the body and the giftings. We can never praise or worship God enough. If we don’t, even the rocks will cry out His name.

Prayer is one of the most critical aspects to being a Christian and should have number one priority in our lives. Healing Rain Ministry is a church that believes in both individual prayer and fasting, and corporate body prayer and fasting. Without prayer we cannot move mountains. In this day and age where we have returned to the days of Noah we need prayer like never before. The miracles in our lives will only come as a result of a bended knee before God. Unity in the body of Christ can be evidenced in corporate prayer in one accord.
